Rug Pad FAQ

Many rug owners are unaware of the importance of a good rug pad to protect your rug and your flooring.  That is why we have searched all around the world for the best quality rug pads for our customers and have several different options for your needs.

First, you'll want to make sure your rug pad is the following - eco-friendly, non-allergenic, sustainable and that will protect your floors from liquids, especially pet urine.
  • Extra cushioning - We recommend the Eco Supreme, which good for places like living rooms or other areas where you might be sitting on the floor, but isn't a high traffic area where people walk through.
  • Mid-weight pad - Our Eco Premium is perfect when you want some cushioning for flatter rugs and runners.
  • High traffic areas - Eco by Design is a waterproof option that is thinner to prevent tripping in areas like foyers, mud rooms, and hallways
Rug pads protect your rug and you.  They prevent rugs from curling up, moving and provide a moisture barrier.  These are essential to prevent accidents and prolong the life of the rug.
Cheap rug pads need to be switched out every few years or so depending on where they are located.  Our rug pads are warrantied and guaranteed for 20 Years.  The Eco Products are warrantied for the life of the rug.
Only cheap or poorly made rug pads stick to floors due to the clay fibers added to the rubber in the production process. Our rug pads don't stick but don't slide or bunch either.
The rug pad should be 1 1/2" smaller/shorter than the rug to allow it to lay down on the edges.
Don't worry - we don't like that chemical smell (called off-gassing) either that are emitted from new carpets sometimes.  That's why we don't have any chemicals added during processing so our pads are odor and off-gassing free.  Bonus - the pads we offer are non-allergenic, non-toxic, eco-friendly, recyclable, and sustainable.
